My collection of miscellaneous electronics

Yellow DMG Game Boy

I've owned this classic GB for about 15 years. A friend of my older brother had it lying around in her house and she would lend it to me every time we went there until she eventually stopped asking me to give it back (it wasn't even hers, I think it was her cousin's, I wonder if he misses it).

Pink Game Boy Advance

I got this at Persa BíoBío, a giant flea-market in Santiago that's getting progressively more and more gentrified. It has a beautiful pink transulescent shell and its previous ownner had carved his name on the front.

White Nintendo DS Lite

This was the first handheld console that I got first hand! I got it for my 10th birthday and I fell in love with it. I would play the same 2 games (NSMB and The Chronicles of Narnia, which I later traded for Tomb Raider Legend) over and over again until I eventually got an R4 flashcard. I have lot of love for this little console but it's sadly in a not-so-great state right now, maybe I should get it all cleaned up and repaired someday.

Bright Blue Nintendo DSi

Got this DSi second-hand after my beautiful Nintendo DSi XL (Super Mario Bros 25th anniversary edition) was stolen by an evil person I was dating at the time.

Pink Sony PSP

My friend Cata let me borrow this PSP 2 years ago and for some reason she won't take it back. I... really like that it's pink, pink is a good color, pink is good. I didn't get to play much with it since the circle button stopped working after a few weeks but it's still a cute looking device.

Mysterious TV phone

A generic no-brand pre-android touch screen cellphone (WITH TV!!!). This used to be my father's cellphone back in 2010-2011 but he stopped using it when he lost the power cable, which is so generic yet specific that he was never able to find a replacement for it. I don't know if it still works.

Nokia 2630

This was the first cellphone I purchased on my own. It's not a very good model, it has almost no internal storage and you can't even put a SD card in it! I was very disappointed to learn that I wouldn't be able to play games or listen to music with it.

Nokia 5130

This model was my favorite from the pre-smartphone era, I love its red and black design, I used to think it was really cool and I still do! I was so happy to finally be able to play games and listen to music with its amazing mp3 player, I remember listening to Lady Gaga's The Fame and Vocaloid songs and thinking "wow I am someone who listens to music". Sadly this isn't the original phone that I owned but a phone that my ex partner had lying around in their house and gave to me (and it doesn't work anymore). My original 5130 got lost after I let a college friend borrow it when his phone was stolen, I regret it every day.

Nokia 5310

I don't have any particular feelings for this phone, is very similar to the 5130 but with a sleeker design. It was my brother's cellphone back in the days. Good phone.

Nokia 225 4G

One of those reimagined classic Nokia phones, a friend of mine commissioned me so I could buy it. It has a nice big screen and a very decent music player, I like it a lot.

Blackberry Curve 8300

Another gift from my ex partner (in a "hey do you want this garbage?" kind of way). This would be a very cool looking device if the paint wasn't all peeled off and if the trackball's cover hadn't broke.

Philips CD Player

Given to me by my ex partner. It has a beautiful Y2K design with a transluscent blue shell and some blobby-shaped buttons. It doesn't work anymore but it is cute.

Byron Statics Cassette Player

Ordered this from Amazon a few months ago and I love it! It's very cute and it has decent sound quality.

Aiwa cassette player

Another Facebook Marketplace purchase. I love love love LOVE the design of this little device, the transluscent pink shell is just beautiful! Y2K excellence. I have to get it fixed since the playback speed is unbearably slow but damn it is a cute looking player.

2001 Indigo iMac G3

My baby!!! Definitelety my favorite item in my collection. I used this computer as part of an art installation I did for a college back in 2017, I found it on Facebook Marketplace and got it for LESS THAN $20!!! (I almost felt as if I had conned the guy). I LOVE this machine, I think it's a beautiful computer and it makes me happy by just looking at it, its futuristic blobby appearance pretty much set the standard for industrial design at the time and it's considered one of the most iconic products of the Y2K era. I just love it a lot, it's my baby.
